LOS ANGELES — Replica Nike LeBron James Jersey China believes Replica Nike Houston Rockets Jerseys China general manager Daryl Morey “wasn’t educated” before sending out the tweet in support of anti-government protesters in Hong Kong that damaged relations between China and the NBA.

Speaking for the first time to the media since Morey’s tweet on Oct. 4 set off a firestorm, James declined to comment about the politically tense situation between China and the NBA but did talk about Morey’s tweet and the ramifications it has had in jeopardizing the relationship between China and the league, its owners, teams and players.

“I don’t want to get into a [verbal] feud with Daryl Morey but I believe he wasn’t educated on the situation at hand and he spoke,” James said before the Replica Nike Los Angeles Lakers Jerseys China played the Replica Nike Golden State Warriors Jerseys China at Staples Center in a preseason game. “And so many people could have been harmed not only financially, physically, emotionally, spiritually. So just be careful what we tweet and say and we do, even though, yes, we do have freedom of speech but there can be a lot of negative that comes with that too.”

When asked why he feels Morey wasn’t properly informed on the unrest in Hong Kong before tweeting support for protestors, James said it was “just my belief.”

“I believe he was either misinformed or not really educated on the situation and if he was, then so be it,” James said. “I have no idea but that is just my belief. Because when you say things or do things, if you are doing it and you know the people that can be affected by it and the families and individuals and everyone that can be affected by it, sometimes things can be changed as well. And also social media is not always the proper way to go about things as well but that’s just my belief.”

Hong Kong has seen months of protests and increasing violence between demonstrators and police, originally sparked by a proposal that would have allowed extradition from the semi-autonomous territory to mainland China.

The Lakers played two preseason games against the Replica Nike Brooklyn Nets Jerseys China in China and the situation was tense. Both teams did not know if the games would be played upon arriving to Shanghai, where NBA commissioner Adam Silver held a tense meeting with players from both teams last week, sources told ESPN’s Rachel Nichols.

During the meeting, sources said, several prominent players voiced frustration about their perception that they were being put in the middle of the dispute between the NBA and China, and they said they were unhappy about being asked to address the situation by local Chinese reporters before Silver himself was scheduled to do so.

“I think when we talk about the political side, it was a very delicate situation, a very sensitive situation,” James said. “And for me personally, you guys know that when I speak about something, I speak about something I’m very knowledgeable about, something I’m very passionate about. I feel like with this particular situation, it was something not only I was not informed enough about, I just felt like it was something that not only myself or my teammates or my organization had enough information to even talk about it at that point in time and we still feel the same way.”

After Morey’s tweet created an international controversy, the Rockets general manager deleted it and attempted to clarify his intent in subsequent tweets. Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta denounced the original tweet and said the Rockets were “not a political organization” and that Morey did not speak for the team.

During the meeting with the players, sources said, Silver was directly asked whether anything would happen to Morey, as several players said they believed that if a player had cost the NBA millions of dollars because of a tweet, there would be repercussions.

Morey will not face any league discipline for the tweet and Silver defended NBA employees’ right to freedom of speech.

James declined to comment about players voicing their concerns to Silver during that meeting.

“I think that is another situation that should stay behind closed doors,” James said. “We are to see what happens with any of our players or with an owner or with a GM at a later date. I think we all sit back and learn from the situation that happened and understand that what you could tweet or could say, we all talk about freedom of speech, yes we do have freedom of speech but at times there are ramifications for the negative that can happen when you are not thinking about others and only thinking about yourself.”

“I think Adam has always been receptive about what the players, the coaches, the owners, whoever has comments about our league,” James added of Silver. “… It was a tough situation for Adam as well, having to put out such a fire that he didn’t create, that he didn’t start.”

James said he will return to China when the opportunity presents itself again.

“For me personally, I’ve always been welcomed with open arms,” James said. “I’ve been to China probably over 15-20 times. The main reason why I always wanted to go to China was the game of basketball. The game of basketball has brought people together, in so many different facets, so many different countries, so many different people that you would never ever expect.

“That has always been my goal, going over to China, the game that we all love and talk about every single day, to bring people together in the most positive way. That is why we were there this past trip, myself, the Lakers along with Brooklyn, we were there to continue to promote the game of basketball… That is what I will continue to do because this sport has done so much for me.”

CHICAGO – The Replica Nike Chicago Cubs Jerseys China will interview former Replica Nike Philadelphia Phillies Jerseys China manager Gabe Kapler and Houston Astros bench coach Joe Espada this week for their vacant managerial position, the team said on Monday.

Espada is expected to interview on Monday, during an off day for the American League Championship Series between the Astros and the New York Yankees.

Kapler, 44, was fired by the Phillies on Thursday after two seasons and a 161-163 record. He played for the Replica Nike Boston Red Sox Jerseys China from 2003 to 2006, when current Cubs executives Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer held similar positions for that franchise.

Kapler has also been linked to the Replica Nike San Francisco Giants Jerseys China, who are looking for a replacement for the retired Bruce Bochy. Kapler worked with Giants team president Farhan Zaidi when both were with the Replica Nike Los Angeles Dodgers Jerseys China.

Espada, 44, has been the bench coach for the Astros for the past two years. Before that, he was a special assistant to Yankees general manager Brian Cashman and also served as the team’s third-base coach,

Kapler and Espada bring the number of managerial candidates to six. David Ross, Joe Girardi, Mark Loretta and Will Venable have already discussed the job with the team.

The Cubs could make a decision on who replaces Joe Maddon soon after the latest candidates interview, as one source indicated last week that Kapler and Espada could be the final candidates to discuss the job with the team.

Industry sources have indicated for some time that Ross is the front-runner for the job.

What is a good website to buy nike New York Yankees jerseys?

The schedule for both the AL and NL Championship Series could be altered because of the forecast of heavy rain in New York on Wednesday, sources told ESPN.

With the possibility that ALCS Game 4 between the Replica Nike Houston Astros Jerseys China and New York Yankees is a washout for Wednesday night, Major League Baseball is considering moving a potential NLCS Game 5 between the Replica Nike Washington Nationals Jerseys China and Replica Nike St. Louis Cardinals Jerseys China to that night, sources said. The NLCS game is currently scheduled to start at 4:08 p.m. ET, but on days there is only one game, MLB prefers to have the game in prime time.

NEW YORK — The Replica Nike New York Yankees Jerseys China ‘ bullpen seemingly will need all the extra rest it got in the final weeks of the regular season.

During a workout day Monday, with neither the Yankees nor the Houston Astros actually working out after playing 4 hours, 49 minutes on Sunday in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series — an 11-inning, 3-2 walk-off win for the Astros — Aaron Boone announced his intention to deploy his bullpen for Game 4 at Yankee Stadium. Astros manager AJ Hinch said Monday that he is considering a similar strategy.

Right-hander Luis Severino will be on the mound for the Yankees for Game 3 vs. 2019 Cy Young candidate Gerrit Cole for the Astros.

“For [Game 4 on Wednesday], it will be kind of a bullpen day,” Boone said. “Obviously, depends a lot on what happens tomorrow, how we use guys, what the game ends up in. We’ll kind of see where we’re at going into the next day. J.A. Happ could very much be in the mix, as well as our bullpen being unleashed on that day.”

The Yankees’ five elite bullpen arms had a light workload in September, with only Chad Green (13.1 IP) pitching nine-plus innings. Adam Ottavino logged 8 2/3 innings, Tommy Kahnle 7 1/3 innings, Zack Britton 7 innings and Aroldis Chapman 4 1/3 innings.

Having fresh arms in the bullpen served the Yankees well in their sweep of the Minnesota Twins in the American League Division Series, with relievers throwing just a third of an inning less than the total amount of innings thrown by the starters.

The Yankees’ relief core combined for 13 1/3 innings pitched vs. Minnesota. Yankees starters Masahiro Tanaka, James Paxton and Severino pitched 13 2/3 innings in the ALDS.

During the 2018 ALDS vs. the Boston Red Sox, Boone was heavily criticized for his bullpen management and sticking with his starters too long. As was evident against the Twins, this postseason has been a completely different story.

Although Game 1 of the ALCS started with a stellar pitching performance by Tanaka, Boone didn’t let go of his quick hook. Tanaka was taken out of the game after throwing only 68 pitches over six scoreless innings, which, according to Baseball-Reference.com data, meant he became the first AL pitcher in postseason history to be removed after fewer than 70 pitches thrown in six-plus shutout innings.

In Game 2, Boone pulled starter James Paxton in the third inning and went on to make eight pitching changes. Paxton threw 2 1/3 innings; the Yankees’ bullpen combined to throw 7 2/3 innings.

Boone has been ambivalent when asked whether last year’s postseason criticism has affected how he has managed his relievers so far, but there is no doubt that he will not hesitate to deploy all of his bullpen weapons.

“I kind of go into the game and go into series and try and have a blueprint or a plan in place that obviously is always fluid, and you’ve got to make adjustments on the fly,” Boone said ahead of the start of the ALCS. “Just trying to do what’s going to give us the best chance to win. So I don’t know if it’s in response to anything or just trying to be as prepared as I can be to make sound decisions.”

The Astros are also looking to their bullpen to carry the load in Game 4. When asked about his Game 4 plans, Hinch said, “The initial answer is, let’s call it a bullpen day. That’s the cool thing to say nowadays. It’s a bullpen day.”

Hinch was asked his thoughts on the “opener” strategy that has become en vogue the past couple of seasons during the Astros’ ALDS against Tampa Bay. The Rays are credited with bringing the strategy into baseball’s mainstream, but Hinch said he hadn’t used it because the Astros’ rotation has been so strong.

Late in the season, Hinch’s No. 4 starter, Wade Miley, struggled so badly that he was left off the roster for the ALCS. Another option, hard-throwing rookie Jose Urquidy, is inexperienced. A third option, Brad Peacock, is coming off of injury. Thus, bullpenning has arrived for the Astros.

“In a perfect world, there’s going to be a number of guys — maybe Urquidy starts, maybe he comes in the middle of the game,” Hinch said. “And [maybe] we go with somebody with a little bit more experience. But we haven’t made that decision.”

A midweek storm could throw a wrench in the Yankees’ and Astros’ pitching plans.

The weather forecast calls for widespread thunderstorms in the New York City area on Wednesday, with a 100% chance of rain at first pitch (8:07 pm ET). In case of a rainout, Game 4 at Yankee Stadium would be played Thursday and Game 5 Friday, which is the scheduled travel day back to Houston, if necessary.

If Game 4 gets pushed back because of weather, Hinch’s decision to bullpen might be moot. He could instead use his Game 1 starter, Zack Greinke, on normal rest.

Boone said he would not manage his bullpen differently with the possibility of a rainout.

“If weather becomes an issue, where the game were to get wiped out Wednesday, that kind of impacts what you do moving forward from there,” Boone said. “As far as Tuesday, Sevy is going. We like our matchup there, feel he gives us a great chance. But we’ll kind of treat it aggressively and try to win that game. I do not really see Wednesday leaking into that too much.”

If Game 4 is moved to Thursday, the Yankees would likely start Tanaka, allowing him to pitch on regular rest. Nonetheless, a rainout could force the teams to play up to four straight games, which could be seen as an advantage for the Astros, who have three reliable starters who can go deep into games.

When reached for a statement, an MLB spokesperson told ESPN: “We are always in contact with our clubs about weather-related issues that may impact the scheduled playing of any game.”

If the rainout occurs, the Yankees and Astros — who play Game 3 Tuesday in New York with the series tied at 1-1 — would be rescheduled to play Games 4 and 5 on Thursday and Friday in New York, before returning to Houston for a potential Game 6 on Saturday.

Sources said MLB would likely announce any change in an NLCS Game 5 prior to Wednesday, giving the teams and fans time to adjust. The Nationals lead the series 2-0 heading into Monday night’s Game 3, so that series could be over as soon as Tuesday night.

If the Yankees and Astros are delayed a day, it could affect pitching plans for both teams. The Astros could bring back Zack Greinke for Game 4 on regular rest, and the Yankees — who are planning a bullpen day for Game 4 — could instead go back to Masahiro Tanaka on regular rest.

CLEVELAND — Since returning to the NFL two decades ago, the Replica Nike Cleveland Browns Jerseys China have infamously started 30 different quarterbacks.

Through the first six games to start a season, Baker Mayfield has thrown the most interceptions of any of them.

Mayfield, who came into the weekend leading the NFL in interceptions, tossed three more picks Sunday as the Replica Nike Seattle Seahawks Jerseys China rallied for a 32-28 victory, dropping Cleveland to 2-4 on the season and 0-3 at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Mayfield now has 11 interceptions, the most by a Browns quarterback through six games since Paul McDonald had 12 in 1984, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.

Two of Mayfield’s interceptions proved especially costly against Seattle — one at the end of the first half, the other at the end of the game.

With under two minutes to go in the second quarter, the Browns had the ball at the Seattle 10-yard line with a chance to go back up by two scores. Instead, Mayfield was intercepted in the end zone while trying to zip the ball to Jarvis Landry. Seattle went on to score a touchdown off the turnover just before halftime, trimming Cleveland’s lead to 20-18.

Mayfield still had an opportunity late in the fourth quarter for a game-winning drive. Instead, on the third snap of the possession, his pass bounced off the hands of running back Dontrell Hilliard and into the arms of K.J. Wright for the game-sealing interception.

Mayfield, who has been criticized by both former NFL coach Rex Ryan and Replica Nike San Francisco 49ers Jerseys China cornerback Richard Sherman in recent weeks for his play this season, completed 22 of 37 passes for 249 yards Sunday. He did have both a rushing and passing touchdown.

Mayfield briefly went to the locker room in the second half with a hip injury. He quickly returned to the sideline, though, and didn’t miss a snap.

The Browns have a bye week coming up before traveling to face the Super Bowl defending champion Replica Nike New England Patriots Jerseys China on Oct. 27.

Where can one buy good quality but cheap Arizona Cardinals jerseys?

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Replica Nike Arizona Cardinals Jerseys China rookie quarterback Kyler Murray took it upon himself to secure Sunday’s win over the Replica Nike Atlanta Falcons Jerseys China.

He raced 5 yards on third-and-5 to a game-clinching first down with 1:45 left in the fourth quarter, as he barely got past the first-down marker on the Cardinals’ sideline. He ran out of bounds right in front of Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury, who broke out a big smile after seeing where Murray’s feet last touched in bounds.

The play was reviewed but upheld, ultimately giving Arizona a 34-33 win, its second this season.

“It was close,” Kingsbury said. “I felt like the angle, it was going to be tough to overturn, but I know it was close. It was right there.”

Murray wasn’t sure whether the play would be overturned or not because of how long the officials took to review it, he said.

“Looking at it now, I probably should’ve stuck the ball out, but it’s a good learning lesson for me,” Murray said. “I will make sure I get it next time.”

The play, which Kingsbury had taken from another team, was a quarterback keeper with two options: throw it to either the receiver in the flat or coming across the field, or keep it and run while staying in bounds and getting the first down. Murray’s first look was the pass, if it was open. But it wasn’t — and it worked out exactly like left guard Justin Pugh had seen on film.

When Murray took off to his right, he began yelling and pointing for tight end Maxx Williams to start blocking.

“I heard him say ‘start blocking,’ so I turned and found the first guy I saw,” Williams said. “I know what he’s capable of doing, so [I was] hoping he got the first down.”

The Cardinals practice that type of scramble-drill play “all the time,” wide receiver Trent Sherfield said.

When the passing option wasn’t open and Murray took off on his feet, his teammates didn’t doubt Murray would get the win-sealing first down.

“I knew they were aggressive downhill, so if Kyler got the edge, I knew it was going to be a first down,” Pugh said. “Maybe a little closer than I would have liked but, hey, we got the call, we won the game today.”

Murray’s run was an example of the No. 1 pick’s ability to make plays with his feet. He threw for 340 yards and three touchdowns on 27-for-37 passing, but it was his feet that helped him stay out of trouble while also making plays.

It started in the first quarter, when Murray spun away from pressure and then scrambled some more only to set and fire an 18-yard completion to Larry Fitzgerald.

“He’s a quick little thing,” wide receiver Pharoh Cooper said. “He has all the talent in the world. Obviously, he’s making the smart play. If there’s nothing there, he has the talent to use his legs, and that’s what’s going to help him a lot, help us win some games.”

Murray finished with 32 rushing yards on 11 carries, two fewer than the team-high 34 by both David Johnson and Chase Edmonds. He had two first downs and a run for 14 yards.

His ability to scramble, Sherfield said, frees up and creates plays out of dire situations — such as his pass to Fitzgerald, another play Arizona works on daily in practice. With Murray’s mobility, Sherfield said the receivers need to be more “definitive and decisive” with their cuts.

Pugh thinks Murray’s ability to run evens the playing field, and Fitzgerald believes Murray has a great understanding of when to run and when not to, comparing Murray’s decision-making to that of Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

“That’s his game, and he does a really nice job of protecting himself for the most part,” Kingsbury said. “The times that he takes a little more physical hits, if you will, is when it’s on called runs.

“I can tell he prefers doing it on his own, and when it’s not there, he makes a play. That’s part of his game.”

The National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings are singing a Taylor Swift song about a banner hanging from their ceiling: “I Knew You Were Trouble.”

Responding to a tweetstream by fans, the Kings have covered up the pop singer’s “most sold-out performances” banner for their home games this season. The banner was first installed at Staples Center in August 2015 after Swift’s 16th sold-out concert there.

The Kings won the Stanley Cup in 2012 and 2014, and went to the conference finals in 2013. But last year, they had the worst record in the Western Conference and second-worst in the league.

“The connection to our fans is our highest priority and through our engagement they have made it clear that the banner shouldn’t be part of their Kings game experience,” said Michael Altieri, senior VP of marketing, communications, and content for the Kings and AEG Sports, to the Los Angeles Times. “We didn’t see an issue in covering it for our games and in fact see it as an opportunity to show our fans that we hear them.”

Where can I buy quality Nike NBA jerseys 2020 online?

The Boston Celtics have signed guard/forward Max Strus to a standard Replica Nike NBA Jerseys China contract and converted center Tacko Fall to a two-way contract, the team announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Strus, 23, was initially signed to a two-way contract on July 25, after playing two collegiate seasons at DePaul University. He’s played in both of Boston’s preseason contests, logging two rebounds and three assists in seven minutes.

The Hickory Hills, IL native played in four games for Boston at the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2019, averaging 9.8 points (41.4% FG, 45.0% 3-PT, 85.7% FT), 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 17.9 minutes.

Fall, 23, signed with the Celtics after competing on the team’s summer league squad, where he averaged 7.2 points (77.3% FG), 4.0 rebounds, and 1.4 blocked shots in five games played. The University of Central Florida graduate has produced five points on 2-of-4 shooting, five rebounds and two blocked shots in 14 minutes over two games of preseason action.

The Los Angeles Lakers are leaving China winless in two 2019 NBA preseason games against the Brooklyn Nets and a fresh injury to Anthony Davis‘ thumb may be cause for a bit of concern.

However, despite those setbacks and the tense political situation that exists between China and the NBA, the trip still provided plenty of information for the Lakers to take back as they prepare for the 2019-20 NBA season.

On the Lakers Nation Podcast, host Trevor Lane takes a look at three things that were learned from the team’s third preseason game.

First and foremost, the Lakers discovered (not surprisingly) they struggle when LeBron James and Anthony Davis aren’t on the floor. With Davis dealing with a thumb injury and James only playing in the first quarter as the team hopes to keep him fresh, head coach Frank Vogel looked to other players to step up in their absence. It did not go well.

While the first quarter showed promise with the two All-Star players joining role players, things went downhill with the team’s guards particularly struggling.

Alex Caruso, Rajon Rondo, Danny Green, and Zach Norvell shot a combined 3-for-27 from the field. Many of those misses were even more damaging than usual because they gave the Nets opportunities to get into transition, which they used to punish the Lakers.

While Avery Bradley was a bit better at 6-of-13 shooting, he missed all four of his three-point attempts, which makes him 0-for-7 in three preseason games from behind the arc. If the Lakers are going to be able to take advantage of his defensive intensity, he needs to at least provide spacing on the offensive end by knocking down shots.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had probably the most consistent game of the guards, but the team is going to need a lot more out of their cadre of creators during the regular season.

Fortunately, the team’s bigs did pick up some of the slack. JaVale McGee was particularly good, looking explosive on both ends and showcasing a pretty spin move and pump fake that culminated in the dunk of the day. Based on the last three games, he should be well ahead of Dwight Howard in the race for the team’s starting center spot.

Finally, the travel and distractions associated with being in China took a toll on the Lakers. The team looked out of sync and while much of that can be rectified when James and Davis are on the floor (not to mention the eventual return of Kyle Kuzma), getting back to Los Angeles certainly won’t hurt.

Time for another preseason tradition: our eighth annual League Pass Rankings. These are watchability scores derived from a formula etched into stone tablets unearthed during construction of Bill Simmons’ backyard swimming pool. We reward each team between one and 10 points in five categories:

Zeitgeist: Do normal people care about this team? If you bring them up at a party, will guests slink away like Homer Simpson into the hedge?

Highlight potential: Does this team have one player who can transform a ho-hum sequence into something transcendent in a blink?

Style: The 2013-14 Spurs would be a 10. James Harden dribbling 44 times before launching another step-back would receive something below a 10.

League Pass minutiae: Uniforms, courts, announcers.

Unintentional comedy: Blame Simmons. We have expanded the category to include variables — like Markelle Fultz’s jump shot — more appropriately classified as “curiosities.”

Reminder: These are not power rankings.

30. WASHINGTON WIZARDS (14 POINTS)

Does Bradley Beal know the name of every teammate? Will he begin weeping during the run of play at some point?

Beal is too good, and too loyal, to act out whatever frustrations he might harbor. If anything, the opposite will happen: He will again lead the league in minutes toiling for a team that seems to believe everything will be fine once John Wall returns from (/pauses to check notes) heel surgery and a torn Achilles. Beal busting it for 35 minutes on this team is almost torture to watch — Beal as the Leonardo DiCaprio character in “The Revenant.”

On the flip side, ranking 30th carries some strange reverse-jinx effect. The Pacers landed here ahead of their feel-good 2017-18 season. Sacramento brought up the rear a year ago.

Insiders want to see if Washington reached picking Rui Hachimura No. 9. Any Isaiah Thomas bounce-back would be a wonderful story. Scott Brooks makes a pretty good resting anguished face.

Eh. The basketball is going to be dreadful, and we don’t have Steve Buckhantz and Kara Lawson to chronicle it. The Celtics hired Lawson. The powers-that-be strung Buckhantz along before moving on. Boo. Buckhantz gave voice — via exasperated sighs and extended silences — to the hopelessness of a fan base.

29. CLEVELAND CAVALIERS (19.5)

One of my random vivid memories from last season: watching from courtside on March 12 in Philadelphia as Collin Sexton kept the Cavs — without Kevin Love — close against a full-strength Philly team acting as if that game was beneath it.

I fell a little in love with Sexton that night. He sensed Philly’s disdain. It fueled him. He went at Joel Embiid and talked trash, chin-to-chest, during dead balls. He demanded the ball on every fourth-quarter possession, and produced: 26 points on 11-of-20 shooting.

He also had one assist. A Sexton-Darius Garland backcourt is going to chuck wacky shots as open teammates scream for the ball. At least Jordan Clarkson realized halfway through last season that passing is legal!

But Sexton has something you can’t teach — a little Westbrookian bravado that, if channeled the right way, can lift everyone around him.

Love will bring playmaking style and overall respectability unless and until the Cavs trade him. He has a nice pass-and-cut chemistry with Cedi Osman. Larry Nance Jr. is vowing to expand his perimeter game. Perhaps we will see one nostalgic glimpse of the Matthew Dellavedova-Tristan Thompson lob connection. If Kevin Porter Jr. sticks in the rotation, this ranking might look foolish.

With those two injured, Ryan Bates is the only healthy right tackle currently on the roster. — Marcel Louis-Jacques

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins look as healthy as they have all season coming out of the bye week, with no notable injured players missing practice Wednesday. That should mean the return of receiver Albert Wilson, who has been out since Week 1 with a calf injury. — Cameron Wolfe

New England Patriots

Wide receiver Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday, which means more of the load falls on Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon as the top two targets, with undrafted Jakobi Meyers elevating to the No. 3 role. In addition, running back Rex Burkhead (foot) is in jeopardy of missing his second consecutive game, which means more of Sony Michel, James White and Brandon Bolden at running back. — Mike Reiss

Quarterback Sam Darnold (mono) is back and will start Sunday, but one of his favorite targets is not. Tight end Chris Herndon, eligible to play this weekend, injured a hamstring during his four-game suspension and is listed as week-to-week. He’s not expected to play Sunday. Replica Nike NFL Jerseys China could be a multiple-game injury, meaning the tight-end production is likely to remain negligible. Middle linebacker C.J. Mosley (groin) is expected to miss his fourth consecutive game. — Rich Cimini

Baltimore Ravens

Tight end Mark Andrews missed his sixth practice in the past five weeks, but history says he’ll play Sunday. Andrews previously dealt with a foot injury. Now he’s dealing with a shoulder injury that sidelined him for a handful of plays last game. Andrews could be in line for a big outing against the Bengals, who have allowed an NFL-worst 15.2 yards per catch to tight ends. — Jamison Hensley

Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals are already thin at left tackle, and Andre Smith’s status for Sunday’s game is in question. The team’s third-string tackle, Smith is batting an right ankle injury. John Jerry is in the mix to start if Smith is out. If Smith doesn’t play, the Bengals’ next man up at the position could be Alex Redmond, who has very limited experience at the spot. — Ben Baby

Cleveland Browns

Will starting cornerbacks Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams finally be ready to play after each missed the past three games with hamstring injuries? Both were limited participants in Wednesday’s practice, which is a positive sign. Cleveland will need all the help it can get Sunday against Seattle’s Russell Wilson. — Jake Trotter

Pittsburgh Steelers
Quarterback Mason Rudolph took a vicious hit that knocked him out of the Ravens loss, but he seems to be progressing quickly from Sunday’s concussion. He’s still in the protocol, but he was a limited participant in Wednesday’s padded practice. Coach Mike Tomlin wouldn’t speculate about Rudolph’s availability for Sunday night’s tilt against the Chargers, but it’s not entirely out of the question that he plays. Much will depend on his response to Wednesday’s practice, and if he can’t go, undrafted rookie Devlin Hodges will make his first NFL start on the national stage. — Brooke Pryor

Wide receiver Kenny Stills, who has a hamstring and ankle injury, did not play in Week 5 against the Falcons. Coach Bill O’Brien said he will have a better idea Friday whether Stills will play at Kansas City. If he is inactive Sunday, expect slot receiver Keke Coutee to see more playing time again. — Sarah Barshop

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts hope their bye week will be enough time for their starting safeties to return from injuries. Clayton Geathers missed the Week 5 victory at Kansas City due to a concussion. He has to clear concussion protocol before he can return to playing. Malik Hooker, who is optimistic he’ll be back after the bye, has missed the past two games with a knee injury. — Mike Wells

Jacksonville Jaguars

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey (back) returned to practice Wednesday for the first time in three weeks, but it was on a limited basis, and he spent most of his time working with trainers off to the side. Coach Doug Marrone said the report from the back specialist Ramsey visited matched what the club’s medical team had determined, and the plan is to take things “step by step.” That’s an early indication that Ramsey is likely to miss his third game in a row when the Jaguars host New Orleans on Sunday. This will be the game where the Jaguars would miss him the most, because he would be shadowing Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas, who leads the NFL in receptions (45) and receiving yards (543). — Mike DiRocco

The biggest injury question this week surrounds outside linebacker Cameron Wake’s hamstring. He didn’t practice at all last week and was ruled out against the Bills. The best thing for a hamstring injury is time. Wake missed practice once again Wednesday. He and tight end Delanie Walker (knee) rode stationary bikes during practice. The Titans got a boost from Reggie Gilbert (one sack vs. Bills) while Wake was out. — Turron Davenport

New England Patriots star special teamer Matthew Slater expressed his displeasure with having to play a game on Thursday night right after already having played Sunday.

Slater criticized the Replica Nike NFL Jerseys China on Tuesday, saying Thursday games “don’t fit under the umbrella of player safety.”

“You could be 22 years old — it’s [still] tough. Player safety, player health? This doesn’t fit into that as far as I’m concerned,” Slater told reporters, according to NBC Sports Boston.

Slater added: “I know we’ve had a lot of discussions about it as a union. I know it’s a good product as far as the consumers are concerned, and the fans enjoy these Thursday night products. But I think when you talk about the rigors of playing in an NFL game, and then what it takes to recover and be able to do it again the following week, to do a Sunday-to-Thursday turnaround is tough. It doesn’t fit under the umbrella of player safety as far as I’m concerned. But you guys know that — I’ve said that every year.”

LOS ANGELES RAMS’ CLAY MATTHEWS HAS JAW WIRED SHUT AS HE RECOVERS FROM INJURY

Slater, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Jackie Slater, said however that having the Thursday night game at Gillette Stadium would be a bit easier — it allows him to get an extra bit of rest before the game.

New England’s game against the New York Giants on Thursday will be their third in 12 days. After New York, their next game isn’t until Monday night against the New York Jets.

Slater hasn’t been the only one to be critical of the NFL’s Thursday night schedule.

One quarterback to win one game: We asked 25 NFL execs to pick
With cornerback De’Vante Bausby, who suffered a neck injury in the win over the Chargers, having been moved to injured reserve and cornerback Bryce Callahan still shelved with a foot injury (he hasn’t played this season), the Broncos are thin in the secondary. They would prefer Kareem Jackson to play safety — he’s had to play at nickel corner in three games this season because of the team’s injuries — but to do that, they’ll have to be confident Isaac Yiadom and Davontae Harris, who was signed just before the start of the regular season, can split the snaps Bausby was getting with the starting defense. Bausby had replaced Yiadom in the lineup, and Yiadom has been targeted plenty by opposing quarterbacks (he was called for two defensive holding penalties against the Chargers). — Jeff Legwold

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs could be without both starters on the left side of their offensive line in Sunday’s game against the Texans. Neither tackle Eric Fisher (core muscle injury) nor guard Andrew Wylie (ankle) practiced Wednesday. Newly signed veteran Stefen Wisniewski could be starting at guard against the Texans. Cam Erving has replaced Fisher since he left the lineup in Week 2, and had his worst game of the season in Week 5 against the Colts. This is a less-than-ideal scenario against Whitney Mercilus, J.J. Watt and the Texans. — Adam Teicher

Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers lost another starter due to injury when center Mike Pouncey was placed on injured reserve Wednesday with a neck issue. That makes seven projected starters missing time for the Chargers so far this season with injuries. Pouncey had been the Bolts’ most reliable and experienced offensive lineman, with the co-captain serving as the team’s anchor up front. With Pouncey out, Dan Feeney will move from left guard to center, and Forrest Lamp will move into the starting lineup at left guard. — Eric D. Williams

Oakland Raiders
With Oakland enjoying a 3-2 record after last weekend’s defeat of the Bears, Raiders coach Jon Gruden is hoping the bye week will see the return of right guard Gabe Jackson, who injured a knee in a training camp joint practice with the Rams. “I’ve been getting videos from the trainers while I’ve been in London and Indiana about Gabe’s progress and it’s exciting,” Gruden said this week. “This guy has clearly worked hard. He looks better, I think, than he’s ever looked. He’s really gotten himself in great shape. We’ll be smart about it. We hope if it’s not this coming game, hopefully it’s the next. He’s a valuable member of our team. Certainly he’ll give us a jolt when he comes back.” — Paul Gutierrez

The Cowboys aren’t sure they will have either starting offensive tackle, Tyron Smith or La’el Collins, against the Jets after both players missed Wednesday’s practice. Smith did some rehab work on the field for his high right ankle sprain, but Collins was not spotted. If neither can play, then Cameron Fleming will replace Smith and Brandon Knight will replace Collins. Facing a Gregg Williams defense that likes to attack, that could compromise the Cowboys’ ability to get the ball down the field. Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch did not practice because of an illness, but that does not appear to be a long-term issue at the moment. — Todd Archer

New York Giants

Running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) is out. He wanted to play Thursday night against the Patriots but didn’t get clearance. It’s probably the smart move for the Giants, as it gives Barkley another 10 days to heal. He’s still less than three weeks removed from suffering a high ankle sprain. — Jordan Raanan

Philadelphia Eagles

Wide receiver DeSean Jackson is expected to miss his fourth consecutive game with an abdominal strain. He’s hoping to return Week 7 at the Cowboys, but that will depend on how his rehab goes between now and then. The return window for Jackson is believed to be Week 7 and Week 9 against the Bears. — Tim McManus

Washington Redskins
Right guard Brandon Scherff, who has missed the past two games with an ankle injury, was limited Wednesday — but that’s a positive sign, as it is the first time he’s practiced since the injury. Tight end Vernon Davis, who missed last weekend with a concussion, was also limited. The Redskins could use his return, particularly with Jordan Reed still sidelined with his own concussion. Davis’ speed provides a mismatch down the seam and can result in big plays. The Redskins’ tight ends have combined for only 17 receptions this season, which partly explains Washington’s offensive struggles. — John Keim

Chicago Bears

The Bears released reserve quarterback Tyler Bray on Wednesday; a clear indication that starter Mitchell Trubisky (dislocated left shoulder/labrum tear) could possibly return following Chicago’s bye week. Head coach Matt Nagy sounded optimistic about Trubisky facing the Saints in Week 7 when he spoke to reporters in London the day after the Bears lost to the Raiders. “I felt like the last couple days he’s been in a good place,” Nagy said. “He’s been a part of all the meetings, a part of practice mentally. Because that’s just as important, staying involved mentally with your guys and with us. And now we’ll just kind of see here, again the bye comes at a unique time.” Look for Chicago to re-sign Bray to the practice squad and move Chase Daniel back to No. 2 to make room for Trubisky’s return. — Jeff Dickerson

Detroit Lions

The Lions won’t release their first official injury report until Thursday, but the fact that Damon Harrison was not at the media portion of practice Wednesday was intriguing and worth monitoring considering how much he means to Detroit attempting to stop the run. Tight end T.J. Hockenson appears to be close to recovered following a concussion against Kansas City, and practiced Wednesday. Another player to watch is safety Quandre Diggs, who didn’t do much Wednesday after injuring his hamstring against the Chiefs. If he can’t go Monday, the Lions will likely use a combination of Will Harris and Tavon Wilson to take his place in the lineup. — Michael Rothstein

Green Bay Packers

Davante Adams couldn’t go last weekend against the Cowboys because of a turf toe injury. He didn’t even attempt to practice. We’ll see Thursday if Adams will try to do that as the Packers begin on-field preparation for the Monday night game against the Lions. Without Adams in Dallas, the Packers had just four catches by wide receivers. It was the Packers’ fewest receptions by WRs in a victory since 2001, and just the third time this season a team has won with so few catches by wideouts, according to ESPN Stats & Information research. — Rob Demovsky

Minnesota Vikings
Nose tackle Linval Joseph missed practice Wednesday for non-football injury-related reasons, while a concussion kept linebacker Ben Gedeon on the sideline. One week after clearing concussion protocol, right guard Josh Kline did not practice, due to a foot injury. Three starters missing practice ahead of a pivotal matchup against the Eagles is concerning, but things appear to be heading in the right direction for cornerback Mackensie Alexander (elbow/groin), who was back practicing on a limited basis after sitting out the Week 5 victory over the Giants. — Courtney Cronin

NFC SOUTH

Atlanta Falcons

Julio Jones was held out of Wednesday’s practice at Arizona State University, and was listed as having a hip injury. Whenever Jones is on the injury report, it’s a concern. Typically, the wide receiver fights through whatever is ailing him. And sometimes, he just needs a veteran’s day off. But Jones is the last person the 1-4 Falcons can afford to lose for any significant amount of time. — Vaughn McClure

Carolina Panthers

Starting left tackle Greg Little missed the previous game with a concussion, but the rookie has progressed enough in the protocol that he’s traveling with the team to London. Whether he’ll play remains to be seen. If he can’t, look for rookie Dennis Daley to make his second consecutive start. That’ll be key because Tampa Bay’s Shaq Barrett had three sacks over the left tackle in a Week 2 win over Carolina. — David Newton

New Orleans Saints

No. 3 receiver Tre’Quan Smith’s status is in doubt again after he suffered another ankle injury when he returned to the lineup Sunday. Smith, who missed Weeks 3 and 4, did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. That should mean another heavy dose of Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn Jr., plus tight end Jared Cook and running back Alvin Kamara, in the passing game this weekend at Jacksonville. — Mike Triplett

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs will have both starting inside linebacker Devin White (knee) and cornerback Jamel Dean (ankle) back this weekend after each missed the past three games. But coach Bruce Arians indicated that his team would be without starting right guard Alex Cappa (arm) and likely starting right tackle Demar Dotson (hamstring). “It’s ‘next man up,’” Arians said. “You can’t make excuses, so we’ll have a new right side of our line probably this week.” Earl Watford is expected to step in for Cappa and Josh Wells — assuming there are no issues with his wife having a baby, which forced him to miss Wednesday’s practice — will step in for Dotson. The Bucs leave for London on Thursday evening. — Jenna Laine

Arizona Cardinals

Will running back David Johnson’s back will be healthy enough for him to play Sunday against Atlanta? The Cardinals planned on testing him Wednesday to see where he was. Coach Kliff Kingsbury doesn’t want to rush Johnson back, and will wait until after Wednesday’s practice to get a better read on Johnson’s health. “I like the progress he’s made, and hopefully that continues throughout the week,” Kingsbury said. — Josh Weinfuss

Todd Gurley did not practice Wednesday because of a thigh contusion in his left quadriceps, and is considered day-to-day ahead of a Week 6 NFC West matchup against the 49ers, coach Sean McVay said Wednesday. When asked if he expected Gurley to be available Sunday against the undefeated 49ers, McVay responded: “It’s hard to say. He’d be better in tune to say exactly how he feels.” Gurley, who was sidelined for the final two regular-season games of 2018 because of a left knee issue, carried a majority of the load against the Seahawks, but otherwise has been periodically spelled throughout the season by backup Malcolm Brown. The Rams also have rookie backup Darrell Henderson to turn to if Gurley is unable to play.– Lindsey Thiry

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers and Mike McGlinchey were taken aback Wednesday when they found out that the second-year right tackle would miss four to six weeks because of a right knee injury that requires arthroscopic surgery. McGlinchey’s is the latest in a string of injuries to 49ers starters that have been serious enough to force them to miss extended time but not to end their season. With McGlinchey joining left tackle Joe Staley (broken fibula) on the sideline for the time being, the Niners must turn to first-year offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill to step in on the right side. Brunskill and rookie Justin Skule are now the 49ers’ bookend tackles, and the duo charged with slowing the Rams’ pass rush and keeping the Niners’ running game rolling. It’s fair to expect veteran Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips to test San Francisco’s unproven tackles early and often in a key NFC West showdown. — Nick Wagoner

Seattle Seahawks
Right guard D.J. Fluker suffered a hamstring injury last Thursday against the Rams that has his status for Sunday’s game at Cleveland in doubt. Pete Carroll said Wednesday that Fluker, who didn’t return to the Rams game, isn’t yet able to practice six days later. Jamarco Jones drew rave reviews from Carroll for the way he stepped and held his own against Aaron Donald, so there’s at least some evidence that the Seahawks can withstand Fluker’s absence.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady entered Thursday night’s game against the New York Giants needing 18 yards to pass his longtime rival, Peyton Manning, and move into second place on the NFL’s all-time passing yardage list.

Brady did it quickly with a 19-yard completion to Sony Michel at 14:20 of the first quarter.

Entering Thursday’s game, Brady had totaled 71,923 passing yards in the regular season. New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees holds the top spot, with 74,845 yards. Official NFL records account for only the regular season. When including the playoffs, Brady is No. 1.

Over the course of his 20-year career, Brady has regularly deflected praise on such milestones.

“I think having a lot of perspective on things like this is where I like to come from. I don’t believe football is an individual sport,” he said Monday in his weekly radio interview on Westwood One. “So any individual accomplishment, to me, is always a team accomplishment. There is nothing you can accomplish in football without everybody else doing their job. I think I’ve always taken to football because of that.”

Representatives for Colin Kaepernick say they have reached out to all 32 NFL teams about possible opportunities for the free-agent quarterback but have received “little to no response.”

This update was part of a lengthy statement released Thursday by agents Jeff Nalley and Jasmine Windham, with the headline “Facts to Address the False Narratives Regarding Colin Kaepernick.”

Kaepernick’s representatives say he has not demanded a specific salary and that he still wants to play in the NFL.

“Not a single team has brought Colin in for a workout,” the statement said. “Seattle brought Colin in for a visit but did not work him out. … No other NFL team has interviewed or worked out Colin in the past three seasons, despite other false statements to the media to the contrary.

“… In 25 years, I have never seen anything like it.”

Kaepernick, who turns 32 on Nov. 3, has not played in the NFL since 2016, when he began protesting police brutality and racial injustice by kneeling during the national anthem. He opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March 2017.

Brady, 42, has posted 90 career games in which he has thrown for 300 or more yards. Only Brees (116) and Manning (93) have more.

Furthermore, in 2018, Brady became just the fourth NFL player to reach 6,000 completions, joining Brees (6,621), Brett Favre (6,300) and Manning (6,125). He is also one of four quarterbacks to throw 35 or more touchdowns in a season four different times, along with Manning, Brees and Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers.

Brady said he doesn’t play for such records.

“I’m not a golfer. I don’t play tennis. You look at some of these individual sports, and yeah, it’s amazing and there’s great accomplishments. But I think the joy in sports for me is the relationships I’ve built with my teammates, my coaches and the organization I’ve represented,” Brady said in the radio interview this week. “Because I’ve been fortunate to play in the same place for 20 years, with great teammates, I’ve been able to pile up a lot of individual statistics. But the reality for me, all of those I share with all the guys I play with.”

Brady reflected on being interested in records as a baseball fan growing up in the Bay Area, following which players might break the mark for most home runs in a season.

“I always enjoyed watching those great home run battles. I remember being in college when it was Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire. They had that great summer of home runs. And obviously, being a San Francisco Giants fan and Barry Bonds being at my high school, I was a huge fan of Barry and what he accomplished,” Brady said on the radio.

“I don’t know so many football ones. I didn’t think about those. There have really been some incredible ones. I’ve watched this show on ESPN+, with Peyton, called ‘Peyton’s Places’ and I watched one the other day, ‘Unbreakable Records.’ It was very cool to just see so many of these different records that are still standing. Asked by host Jim Gray on Westwood One the best record to have in football, Brady said, “If you look at individual seasons, those are pretty unique because it’s just one snapshot. I think when you look at career yards, it’s totally different. Peyton Manning’s 55 touchdowns in one year — that was incredible. I remember watching that. I had held the record at that point, at 50. … They just had a prolific offense. It’s pretty amazing when you have seasons like that.”
